CHEDDAR CHIVE BISCUITS 

These drop biscuits are super quick to prepare and bake and make your place smell amazing.

Makes: 9 biscuits                                                                                         Takes: 30 minutes

CHEDDAR CHIVE BISCUITS

Makes: 9 biscuits                      
​Takes: 30 minutes
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh chopped chives
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  1. Shred butter with a box grater and place in freezer while preparing the rest of the dough.
  2. Preheat oven to 450° and line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt and pepper.
  4. Add in grated butter and mix with pastry cutter until butter is about pea sized.
  5. Add shredded cheese and chives and combine. Next, stir in buttermilk and sour cream until just combined. Don’t over mix.
  6. Drop dough in onto prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15-17 minutes or until golden browned. Best enjoyed day of.
