Miss Paradis
I recently befriended a fellow Yelp-loving restaurant seeker while abroad in London who moved to New York this year! We’ve recently been exploring the NoLiTa/SoHo area as it is pretty equidistant between us and has so many great food & drink spots. Over the summer, she took me to Miss Paradis, a super cute rose spot on Prince street. The space is super long and skinny, probably seats under 40 people but somehow doesn’t feel cramped at all. With oversized bottles of rose displayed in the window, you can guess what this place’s specialty is. In addition to cocktails and an extensive wine list, they offer infused rose’s which we were very excited about. The four options are; elderflower and rose, blackberry and lavender, peach and cinnamon or grapefruit and basil. We initially ordered peach and cinnamon which they were out of, but suggested blackberry and lavender instead. I usually dislike elderflower but it was surprisingly nice without being overpowering. In terms of food, I will warn you that that the prices insinuate much larger dishes but are in reality the size of small sharing plates. Nevertheless, we order halloumi cheese skewers with beet and ginger dressing, shishito peppers with sumac and lime and the blue endive salad with blue cheese, candied pecans, orange and sesame-lemon dressing. We were so excited to see halloumi on the menu which isn’t a regular item here but so common in London! Everything was awesome and perfect for post-work happy hour. |
